Applications in the prescribed forms are invited from interested candidates who are permanent residents of Meghalaya for admission to the following Diploma Courses in Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Regional Govt. Film and Television Institute for the academic session 2026-2027 against the seats reserved for the State of Meghalaya.

The available Diploma/Certificate Courses, their duration, and number of seats are as follows:

1. Audiography and Sound Engineering: 1 seat.

2. Cinematography: 3 Years, 1 seat.

3. Film and Video Editing: 1 seat.

4. Applied Acting (Film & TV): 2 Years, 1 seat.

Total seats: 4.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Sl. No. 1 candidates must passed 10+2 or Equivalent Examination in Science subjects from any recognized University/Board with minimum 45% marks (40% for ST/SC).

For Sl. No. 2, 3 & 4 candidates must passed 10+2 or Equivalent Examination in any discipline from any recognized University/Board with minimum 45% marks (40% for ST/SC).

Age Limit:

Candidates should be 24 years (27 years for SC/ST/OBC) as on 1st July 2026.

Reservation:

Nomination of selected candidate in order of merit of aggregate marks in the qualifying examination will be made from this Office against the above seat. The reservation policy of the State Government will be applicable.

Application form can be downloaded from the Department web site https://megeducation.gov.in/dhte/pages/dhte_notice_board.html. Completed application form duly accompanied with self attested copies of all the documents should reach the Office of the Director of Higher & Technical Education, Shillong (Opposite Shillong Public School, Laitumkhrah, Room No. 101) or submitted via email to the email id: [email protected] on or before 5th June 2026.

Note:

Non-Tribal students must furnish P.R.C. issued by the competent authority without which their application will not be entertained.

The Government/Department does not guarantee any job on successful completion of the course.
